Lavatec to introduce new laundry software program and showcase established equipment at the Clean Show

Beacon Falls, CT – May 24, 2017 – Since 1986, Lavatec Laundry Technology, Inc. has designed and manufactured commercial laundry equipment that stands above the competition. Customers understand the equipment is built to last, simple to run and maintain, and the service and training they receive is second to none. With those impeccable credentials and more, the Lavatec booth (1743) is expected to attract plenty of attention at the 2017 Clean Show, June 5-8 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Lavatec’s Keith Ware will be busy at the Clean Show, talking to visitors in booth 1743 as well as participating in a panel discussion on June 7.

Lavatec will display a full assortment of both battle-tested and new equipment and software at the show. The industry’s leading continuous tunnel washers, including the new LT50, will be demonstrated, along with a 40-bar extraction press, a large washer extractor with corresponding dryer, plus the award-winning TT-series Ecodry dryers. People looking for finishing equipment will want to see the unique LAVAFOLD MAXI triple sort towel folding system.

Keith Ware, Lavatec’s Vice President of Sales, is looking forward to talking to Clean Show attendees. Not only will he discuss the Lavarail system, the new osLaundry software program and other integral equipment, he will also serve on one of the educational panel sessions on June 7.

"When the Clean Show was held in Atlanta two years ago, osLaundry was being previewed at the time," recalled Ware. "In Las Vegas, we will be picking up where we left off, except now osLaundry can be built into all of our equipment. Our Lavarail monorail system has performed exceptionally well in Germany, and we will begin emphasizing rail systems in North America after the Clean Show."

From established operations to start-up companies, Lavatec has provided the essential resources, equipment and manpower support to help them succeed. Ware indicated that osLaundry is a software solution that binds everything together for customers.

"Our software group has devoted a significant amount of time and effort to develop osLaundry. Lavatec has built great equipment over the years that was more plug-and-play, but now we have a system that is 100 percent integrated," revealed Ware.

A state-of-the-art control system with highly accurate and reproducible control technology, osLaundry offers reliable and safe data registration and storage. Operators can expect fewer problems that are easier to trace, and the software program provides an Ethernet connection to higher-level systems, along with different choices of operating terminals and remote diagnostics support.

"This program brings everything together," continued Ware. "We talk about how our equipment is engineered for higher returns on your investment, and this software takes it to the next level. osLaundry is a comprehensive tool that produces data and real time information. Laundry operators now can make quicker and more informed decisions that impacts their entire operation in a positive manner, decisions that are capable of saving time and money while making them more profitable."

The Lavarail monorail system Ware mentioned is a prime example where built-in software can help ensure smooth economic operation for a laundry facility. Lavarail, like most Lavatec equipment, can be custom designed with space saving belt conveyors and sorting carousels. Compatible with all equipment brands, the stainless steel and fully enclosed rail trolleys require as little action possible and protect against lint build-up.

With proper care and maintenance, customers have learned that Lavatec equipment has a lifecycle that can last 20+ years. Some customers have replaced their original equipment with newer, more efficient models, a fact Ware suggests Clean Show attendees to remember when visiting the Lavatec booth.

"We have equipment for every size operation. Our extraction presses range in size from 55-220 pounds, and our LX-series washer extractors are available from 80-600 pounds capacity, depending if you want a pass-through or front loader model," reminded Ware.

"The TT-series of Ecodry dryers represent a new generation that combines smart technology and safer ergonomics with sustainable processes. Our line burner covers the entire drum and produces exceptional quality, with the shortest possible drying times and minimal energy use. And the LAVAFOLD MAXI triple sort towel folder is something you have to see in person to appreciate. It gives you 3-item sort capability by size and it’s fast, capable of processing up to 1200 pieces per hour."

Ware will be one of three industry experts hosting a Clean Show educational session on Wednesday, June 7. From 9-10 a.m., the "Tips and Lessons Learned When Entering the Commercial Laundry Industry," panel will engage in a discussion about the linen, uniform and facility service marketplace. Ware suggests the audience come prepared with questions he and his cohorts can answer.

"Given that there is so much ground to cover and we only have one hour, we are considering making it a Q-and-A session to satisfy as many people as possible," quipped Ware. "There are many important facets of the business to take into consideration these days. We want to give the audience a chance to learn as much as possible with what is most relevant to their respective operations."
